Formed in 2010, The Switch is made up of James Woods on Bass, Johnny Saris on Guitar, Evan Malone on Vocals and Tyler Calzada on Drums. Weaving funk into blues infused jams, the 4 Lake George natives create a powerful sound that's instantly recognizable. Their first recording was done in Nashville with legendary producer Peter Young. "Slim Pickins" was released and still gets radio play. They followed it up with a live album at the Strand Theater in 2019. Since then, they have been playing shows all over upstate NY making new fans with every gig. Musically, they are hard to describe. A funky blues band. A bluesy jam band. An old school rock and roll band. Somewhere in the middle lies The Switch. Typical setlists include their originals plus epic takes on everything from The Allman Brothers to Hendrix to Tyler Childers.
